Kennedy Jr. delivers eloquent eulogy

I believe this speech Saturday afternoon by Edward M. Kennedy Jr. is the finest eulogy I have ever heard. Certainly, it was moving and emotional and left many a tear in the eyes of the mourners at Sen. Ted Kennedy's funeral. For all the tradition and pageantry of a Catholic funeral, the personal memories are what makes a fine memorial service. President Obama and younger son Patrick (a member of Congress) also delivered eulogies, and many words have been written about the man who was Ted Kennedy, but no one told his story better than his elder son. There is a short conclusion to this portion of the eulogy, also on YouTube.

  1. Thank you for posting this. Words can hardly express how moving this was. Not only this, but the many memories, anecdotes, thoughts and prayers shared over the entire day and well into evening at Arlington.

To command such respect from so many dignitaries, esteemed politicians on both sides of the aisle, clergy, family, friends, coworkers and the thousands of ordinary Americans who lined the streets of DC and Boston to pay their respects to an American icon, was nothing short of phenomenal.

He was well loved and his extraordinary good work will live on.

  2. Good speech, however....

....does nothing to excuse teddy's drinking and womenizing days when he had the wreck and walked away from it with his female passenger 6 feet under water. The truth does not lie.

But that is ok to liberals who really do not take the truth into account .....for their agenda is most important. But we know that.

Oh yea, these so called 'dignitaries' do this b/c they know they will be seen in the media .....paying their respects. It is all a show.
